PEMBERDAYAAN UMKM SEBAGAI UPAYA MEMBANGUN KEMANDIRIAN DESA CEMANI SUKOHARJO MELALUI KECERDASAN BUATAN

Abstract

Recognizing the immense potential of artificial intelligence (AI) in enhancing the competitiveness of MSMEs, a community service program was conducted in Cemani Village, Sukoharjo, aiming to empower 15 local MSMEs through the utilization of AI in various aspects of their businesses. Training and mentoring were provided to MSME owners to improve their business management skills, expand their market reach, and increase their income. The program resulted in significant improvements in MSME performance, including an average increase in sales of 35%, a 20% reduction in operating costs, a 15% increase in productivity, and market expansion with a 40% increase in new customers. Additionally, there were positive changes in MSME owners' attitudes towards technology, increased collaboration among MSMEs, and heightened community awareness of the importance of technology in rural economic development. This initiative demonstrates that AI can be a catalyst for transforming MSMEs in rural areas and contributing to village economic independence. However, challenges such as limited technological infrastructure and skilled human resources need to be addressed to ensure the sustainability and success of AI-based MSME empowerment programs in the future.
